11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month

My veteran, my dad.
This shot is of my dad sitting in the Collins Foundation
B-24. We had flown in it together earlier that morning.
I got Dad back in the cockpit of this B-24 liberator to tell
some of his stories. 63 years earlier, my dad was a 1st Lieutenant
Piloting his B-24 over Germany.
The B-24 below “Ole King Cole” he flew on a low level
Mission across the Rhine at Wesel, Germany to support General Patton’s
3rd Army on March 24, 1945 in “Operation Varsity”.
