seeing vs looking

the best teachers are not always in the schools.
My cat yewelee could not take he eyes away from
a large grass plant on our deck, I tried to see what see
was looking at, but I came up empty.
So I just sat with her...then I saw what had her enraptured.
A small lizard in the grass.
I was looking, she was seeing.

I know this, she reminded me.
